After 7 years, 313 shows and 10 tours across North America, Greensboro, NC’s Kudzu Wish closed the book on the band at the end of September 2005.

Yet even after bass player Tim Lafollette’s passing in 2011 from ALS the ahead of their time punk rock abandon that was the essence of Kudzu Wish still permeates the memories, experiences and songs the band created during their time. In that spirit, the band has revisited their final recordings, originally borne out of a session to document their final days and never officially released.

In early 2016 guitarist Eric Mann discovered he still had the original studio files engineered by Nick Peterson at Track and Field Recording in Chapel Hill. The band enlisted the help of longtime Athens, Ga friends and tour mates Mike Albanese (Maserati, Cinemechanica) of Espresso Machine and Joel Hatstat (Cinemechanica). Albanese’s remixes created a grittier soundscape reminiscent of the band's chaotic live shows and Kudzu Wish bandmates Eric Mann, Adam Thorn, Geordie Woods and Devender Sellars all agreed that their friend and bandmate Tim Lafollette would support sharing these final sessions with the world. As the band discussed the eventual release of these songs they also decided to come together one more time with a show in their hometown of Greensboro, NC.

For a few fleeting moments, Kudzu Wish is back.
